I’ve shown pictures already on Twitter and Facebook but in case you missed them, I’m going to group them all in one post here. The beginning of the year started brilliantly for me and I’m so happy with my book presents!

Psycho Analysis by V.R. Stone

I received Psycho Analysis from the author himself AND it has a personal message. Signed books count, stats: 3. It’s about a female serial killer, so that’s right into my league 🙂

The One by John Marrs

I won this one in a Facebook competition (thank you also Tracy Fenton and Kaisha @The Writing Garnet!) and while you may think it’s a dating book, it’s absolutely not.. It’s a thriller too!

The Owl always hunts at night by Samuel Bjork

I received this one courtesy of Transworld Books. I received What Alice Knew last year from them too and while that one wasn’t entirely my thing, I have high hopes that this one will really be more for me. I’m very curious about this one because I haven’t read many Scandinavion authors yet. A few years ago I’ve read a few books by Camilla Lackberg but that’s about it.

When a young woman is found dead, the police are quick to respond. But what they find at the scene is unexpected. The body is posed, the scene laboriously set. And there is almost no forensic evidence to be found.

Every time I say to myself I’m not going to accept any more books for review but then I got a mail from Lucinda Berry’s publisher and not only did the blurb capture my attention, I was especially interested because I read the background of Ms. Berry.

She has a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, specializing in trauma and children. She is the Assistant Director of Evidence-based Practice at UCLA’s National Center for Child Traumatic Stress. She uses her clinical experience to create compelling tales that blur the lines between fiction and nonfiction.

The Executioner by Chris Carter

I’ve already read a few books by Chris Carter (I started in the middle of his series) and I don’t need any convincing what an amazing author he is. This is Book 2, which I haven’t read yet, and when I saw a message on Facebook that it was FREE for a limited time on Amazon I knew I had to download it pronto. It’s mine now :-). Still have to get my hands on the first one and I can start reading from the beginning now.
