I saw this meme on Books, Vertigo and Tea and I thought this one seemed fun to join and feature on my blog from time to time as well! The original post of Goodreads Monday was posted by Lauren’s Page Turners. Thank you Lauren for this great idea. This really is a great way to help me take another look at all the books added to the wishlist so long ago and at the same time I can share some interesting titles.
There’s only one rule: Simply choose a random book from your TBR and show it off. Don’t forget to link back to Lauren’s Page turners and add your own links!
Added on 12 January 2014 : Lovely Vicious (or Love Me Never) by Sarah Wolf
This novel has a 4.12 star rating on Goodreads. It’s a Young Adult/Romance novel and one that sounds especially good based on all the gifs I’ve seen of people crying. I want a novel that I can feel :-). This is the first novel in the Lovely Vicious series of 3 books at the moment, and the other two novels have an even higher rating.
Don’t love your enemy. Declare war on him.
Seventeen-year-old Isis Blake hasn’t fallen in love in three years, nine weeks, and five days, and after what happened last time, she intends to keep it that way. Since then she’s lost eighty-five pounds, gotten four streaks of purple in her hair, and moved to Buttcrack-of-Nowhere, Ohio, to help her mom escape a bad relationship.
All the girls in her new school want one thing—Jack Hunter, the Ice Prince of East Summit High. Hot as an Armani ad, smart enough to get into Yale, and colder than the Arctic, Jack Hunter’s never gone out with anyone. Sure, people have seen him downtown with beautiful women, but he’s never given high school girls the time of day. Until Isis punches him in the face.
Jack’s met his match. Suddenly everything is a game.
The goal: Make the other beg for mercy.
The game board: East Summit High.
The reward: Something neither of them expected.
So what do you think? Yay or nay? Maybe a bit predictable but it sounds like it’ll be fun to read!
This one would definitely be a “yay!” for me. Sounds predictable, yes. But it also sounds like one of those books perfect for a mindless, thoughtless night of simply losing yourself in a fun love-story, haha. 🙂

Interesting cover. Not a book that I’d normally go for but I am intrigued.

Thank you Diana, it’s something a bit different from my usual thrillers but I like the romance having a little evil side as well, I like the enemies turned into lovers trope 😉

Ah thank you Danielle! It seems like a great series. I quite like that I already know the sequel (and nr. 3 and 4) has a very good rating as well.. I kind of like that I know already they’re all strong novels in the series

I haven’t seen this on any other blog yet so it’s perfect for a Goodreads Monday and get a bit more attention. I don’t even remember how I came to add this title but it’s still looking interesting. I’m all for the feels 🙂
