WWW Wednesday is a book list hosted by Taking on a World of Words, and I’m happy to participate today.
What did you recently finish reading?
What are you currently reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
What I recently finished :
A wonderful debut about a woman obsessed with her ex. I’m happy I finally found another novel I was so addicted to and wanted to keep on reading and flipping the pages to see what would be her next move.
The Perfect Girlfriend by Karen Hamilton
What I’m reading now:
OK I actually already finished it but wanted to list this one as well. The Good Samaritan is such an excellent read! This is not just a story about one crazy person but someone provoking a crazy person and then.. well you don’t want to have a crazy person on your tail. The consequences are jaw-dropping. One of this year’s favorites!
The Good Samaritan by John Marrs
What I’ll (probably) read soon:
If it’s a book about someone’s who’s lying you can count on it that I’m interested! Can I unmask the guilty one? I can’t wait to find out.
The Confession by Jo Spain
Late one night a man walks into the luxurious home of disgraced banker Harry McNamara and his wife Julie. The man launches an unspeakably brutal attack on Harry as a horror-struck Julie watches, frozen by fear.
Just an hour later the attacker, JP Carney, has handed himself in to the police. He confesses to beating Harry to death, but JP claims that the assault was not premeditated and that he didn’t know the identity of his victim. With a man as notorious as Harry McNamara, the detectives cannot help wondering, was this really a random act of violence or is it linked to one of Harry’s many sins: corruption, greed, betrayal?
This gripping psychological thriller will have you questioning, who – of Harry, Julie and JP – is really the guilty one? And is Carney’s surrender driven by a guilty conscience or is his confession a calculated move in a deadly game?
So that’s it, what are you reading this week? Share your link in the comments below so that I can come and take a look !
