Same book, different cover #08

I’m back with 5 new book covers to pick and choose your favorite one. This is just for fun so there are no wrong answers! OK, I’ll go first, then it’s up to you:

Did I Mention I Love You by Estelle Maskame

Difficult but I’ll still go for number 1. The other cover, even though it’s pink, is a bit too much of a love story on the cover, and it’s not that kind of romance novel.

Little Sister by Isabel Ashdown

Little Sister 01  Little Sister 02

Cover 1 please. The second cover would be great for a horror book. I’d rather not see this image every time I pick up the novel though 🙂

The Day of the Accident by Nuala Ellwood

The Day Of The Accident 01   The Day Of The Accident 02

I choose cover 2. No particular reason but it looks more professional to me and it’s just more aestetically appealing for me.

Leave No Trace by Mindy Mejia

Leave No Trace 01  9781786489777

I’m going with cover 2 because the colours on the first cover are a bit too bland for me, I like the contrast on the second novel more.

The Rules of Seeing by Joe Heap

The Rules of Seeing 01   The Rules of Seeing 02

Definitely the second cover. That bunny is just what makes this book unique.

So that’s it. Tell me your thoughts! If you can’t get enough, check out Battle Of The Books #1 – #2#3 – #4 – #5#6 – #7

  1. Great post! I agree with you on all apart from the first one. I just have something against models or full faces on book covers. They interfere with my imagination of what the characters look like. The last cover (2) is so awesome!

  2. Book 1: first cover is professional; second is like a slushy YA romance.

Book 2: first cover is mysterious and intriguing, second cover rather generic and bland.

Book 3: first cover is generic and bland, second cover has more action to it.

Book 4: again, first cover is generic and bland, but the second cover isn’t that much better.

Book 5: I like the bold orange of the first cover, but am attracted to the green bunny on the second cover.

  3. Did I Mention I Love You – dislike images of Ken & Barbie but second cover isn’t great either, would skip reading this
Little Sister & Day of the Accident – cover #1 for both, want to read both!
Leave no Trace is a draw
Rules of Seeing – don’t like either cover

    • Thank you Anne. I have actually read all of these (that’s why I noticed there were differences in covers). The first was a giveaway win though and I didn’t like it all that much. You picked the best ones, Little Sister and Day of the Accident were great reads! Rules of Seeing was a very interesting read too about someone learning to see after being blind for 30 years, so different but a great book too. Thank you for your opinions!

  4. The first cover looks like… idk, something drafty to me, so No.2!, No.1 aswell.. the second is way too creepy, I like the little teddy on the first, but yeah.. second looks more appealing I agree, two aswell, I pick the bunny too ! no idea what he means.. but I like it xD

    • That one cover really is super creepy isn’t, weird how one black hole can be so scary 😄. I love the colors on the bunny cover but you have to read the novel to really understand… it’s about a blind woman who has an operation and sees again. Seeing isn’t as easy as it sounds though, you have to learn it like a new language. Seeing this animal she won’t know it’s a bunny or what color it is ☺️ Well that’s my interpretation. Thanks lovely for taking the time to go through 3 of these posts today 😘😘😘
