I’m back with 5 new book covers to pick and choose your favorite one. This is just for fun so there are no wrong answers! OK, I’ll go first, then it’s up to you:
The Last by Hanna Jameson
I’ve seen a million books with eerie mansions on the cover already so definitely cover number 2. Great choice with the red color too!
The Sentence is Death by Anthony Horowitz
Also cover number 2, I like the dripping paintbrush but I just want a bit more color on the cover. Color definitely sells it for me.
The Hunting Party by Lucy Foley
Do I even need to say it? Cover 1 of course and I feel very very strongly about this one. It’s so easy to remember if you’ve seen the yellow cover before, don’t you think?
Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng
This one’s more difficult, I don’t feel very strongly about either of them. I don’t like the font of cover 1 so I’m going with cover 2 although it doesn’t make me feel very much, it’s nice but a bit too clean and it’s not revealing at all.
The Woman Inside by E.G. Scott
Cover number 2! They are very similar indeed and maybe the look of the person in the first cover is more ominous and evil but I still love the look of the second cover more!
So that’s it. Tell me your thoughts! If you can’t get enough, check out Battle Of The Books #1 – #2 – #3 – #4 – #5 – #6 – #7 – #8 – #9
Same choices as yours Inge except the last one, I like Cover 1

Thanks for letting me know, the last one was a difficult choice so I don’t disagree with you on that one 😉

Ah ok, nice! It’s not a bad cover but I chose the second one because I felt it was just a bit more different than usual 🙂

Oh that surprises me, I thought everyone would love the yellow :-). Totally cool choice though, I’m already curious if other bloggers will follow you on this ;-). Thanks so much Nicki xxx

I like the white too.. But since I have seen the yellow in the blogging world, white was a surprise 😲

The yellow is very present indeed. I just checked and the white cover is hardcover/ebook published by William Morrow and should be the audiobook by HarperAudio but all published 12th of February.. so we’ll see more of it in the future 🙂

I didn’t even know there was an alternative cover to the yellow Lucy Foley, but I remain a fan of the yellow! Agree with all your other choices too 😊

Yeeeees !!! another one !! 😍
Mh, this one kind of seemes to have a similar vibe theme, ahah ; I prefer the 1st of all but the last one, I think the addition of “for better, for worse” make it for me. seeing that little thing would incite me to pick the book up as it’d make me wonder what’s that for.

I love your enthusiasm Kristina 😃 Ah I love extra little quotes on book covers too so certainly understand your choice there!

These are fun posts and I have to say, book covers can really pop or kill a book. And I think I’m at odds with you today, Inge. I like cover 1 for book 1. And then, cover 2 for book 2, as the darker colour feels better. And I think everyone likes the bright yellow cover of book 3. while book 4? I hate both covers they’re just ugly. And sorry, but I prefer cover 1 for book 5. It’s more distinct. 😀

I know, I don’t think I’d feel enticed to read and buy a book if I don’t like the cover. Ha no, it seems not everyone likes the yellow cover of The Hunting Party! I only saw this one when I posted my review on Goodreads and was surprised myself to find another cover. Thank you for your vote 😘

I wonder what the stats are on just who likes what kind of cover(s), I’m sure it would be an interesting analysis. 😀

Yes and if it’s like geographical preference by country is what I love to know too. Sooner or later I’m going to provide the answers in a post 😊

It’s interesting how we sometimes associate a book with a cover that we tend to see around more. I’ve actually only seen The Sentence is Death with its second cover so I was surprised to see that there is another one too!

I also usually like the cover which is more present online, and if I read it in paperback and picked it up several times then I’ll always prefer it too, I’m too used by it in the end 😊 I read The Sentence is Death with the red cover but saw the other one when I posted my review on Goodreads! Thank you for stopping by ❤️😘

These are tough decisions. I agree with you on The Hunting Party. The original is best.

I agree with you on all of these! Everything I Never Told You was a tough one, because like you neither does really stand out… The last was a bit tricky as well. 😉

I came across the other cover of the last novel by accident and I didn’t realise right away it was different. I knew something felt off but what… turned out it was another cover 😋 Thank you Yvo! ❤️

The red cover for The Last is my favourite, and not just because it’s sitting on my shelf xD Again, I agree with you on all covers. It seems we go with bolder colours!

Yay! Yes thrillers used to be so black and white, it’s great that it can also be bright yellow or red and still feel thriller-y 😊

The purple cover of The Last looks like some Agatha Christie stuff 😀 Not a bad thing, but the red one just suits the story better i think.
The yellow hunting party cover is so cool! The snowy one… well, that’s just makes me want to grab a second jumper 😀
